2027 Chevrolet Lineup: What to Expect

Chevrolet’s 2027 model year brings major changes to some of its most important vehicles while leaving others with more modest updates. The completely redesigned Silverado 1500, returning Bolt EV, expanded Corvette family, and charging upgrades across several electric SUVs stand out. Buyers can also expect smaller equipment and packaging changes throughout the Tahoe, Suburban, Equinox, Traverse, and other SUV lines.

The Silverado 1500 Gets a Complete Redesign

The 2027 Silverado 1500 is one of Chevrolet’s biggest updates of the year. Chevrolet confirms that the truck has been redesigned inside and out and will offer seven trims: Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, Silverado, Trail Boss, ZR2, and High Country (source).

Four powertrains remain available rather than an entirely new engine lineup. The enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel continue, while Chevrolet adds new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V-8 engines. Chevrolet says the new range includes the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8 in the half-ton pickup class, although final Silverado pricing is still due later in 2026 (source).

Technology receives an equally substantial upgrade. Every Silverado gets a 16.3-inch center display and 12.2-inch driver information screen. High Country and ZR2 models also include an 11.5-inch passenger display, while Super Cruise expands to additional trims. The ZR2 adds 35-inch mud-terrain tires, front and rear electronic locking differentials, and a two-inch factory lift.

The Bolt Returns With Faster Charging

After a three-model-year absence, the Chevrolet Bolt returns for 2027 with significant improvements aimed at preserving its role as an accessible electric vehicle.

Chevrolet rates the new Bolt at 262 miles of EPA-estimated range and says it can charge from 10% to 80% in about 25 minutes at a compatible public DC fast charger. Charging capability rises above 150 kW, while a standard NACS port provides direct compatibility with supported Tesla Superchargers and other NACS stations (source).

The Bolt is also offered in an RS trim for the first time. Inside, drivers get larger digital displays and available Super Cruise. These changes make charging speed and technology much more competitive than on the previous Bolt generation.

Equinox EV and Blazer EV Adopt NACS

Charging changes extend beyond the Bolt. Both the 2027 Equinox EV and Blazer EV now use a standard native NACS charge port, expanding access to compatible public charging stations without requiring the same adapter arrangement used by earlier models.

The Equinox EV offers an EPA-estimated 319 miles of range in front-wheel-drive form and 307 miles with available all-wheel drive (source). The Blazer EV offers up to 312 EPA-estimated miles with front-wheel drive and continues to offer LT, RS, and high-performance SS configurations (source).

Changes to Chevrolet’s gasoline SUVs are generally less dramatic. The regular Equinox receives a new eight-speed automatic transmission on front-wheel-drive versions, while the Traverse mainly gets appearance and equipment updates (source).

Tahoe and Suburban Receive Targeted Updates

The Tahoe and Suburban were refreshed recently, so Chevrolet is concentrating on equipment and option-package changes for 2027 rather than another redesign.

White Sands becomes available on selected trims, while the RST gains standard heated and ventilated front seats. Chevrolet also makes its Advanced Technology package available with the Duramax diesel on LT and RST models. Super Cruise is included with the High Country Deluxe package regardless of engine choice (source).

The gasoline Blazer presents a different situation. Current reporting indicates that it appears set to skip the 2027 model year as Chevrolet moves production from Mexico to Spring Hill, Tennessee. Chevrolet has said the vehicle will return “new and improved,” but details about the extent of those future changes have not yet been announced (source).

Corvette Gets One of Its Biggest Performance Updates

The Corvette family also changes substantially for 2027. Chevrolet is bringing back the Grand Sport name and introducing the Grand Sport X, a hybrid all-wheel-drive version.

Both use Chevrolet’s new naturally aspirated 6.7-liter LS6 V-8, which produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. The same engine also becomes the base powerplant for the 2027 Stingray (source).

The Grand Sport X adds a front electric motor to create all-wheel drive and 721 combined horsepower. Chevrolet estimates a 0-to-60-mph time of 2.4 seconds for the model (source). Alongside the existing Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X, these additions give the Corvette range an unusually broad selection of performance levels.

What the 2027 Chevrolet Lineup Really Looks Like

The 2027 Chevrolet lineup is not a complete reinvention of every model. Instead, the year combines several major launches with targeted improvements elsewhere.

The Silverado receives the deepest redesign, the Bolt returns with substantially faster charging, Chevrolet’s major electric SUVs transition to native NACS connections, and Corvette gains important new performance models. Tahoe, Suburban, Traverse, Equinox, and other SUVs receive smaller technology, packaging, or styling changes.

For buyers, that means the most important 2027 developments depend heavily on vehicle type. Truck shoppers get an all-new Silverado, EV buyers gain better charging options and the returning Bolt, and performance enthusiasts see the Corvette family expand considerably. As Chevrolet releases remaining pricing and final specifications, those confirmed changes provide the clearest picture of what to expect from its 2027 model year.
